Grace flew in after her short trip in Cairns before we headed off to the Whitsundays to enjoy a long weekend on Hamilton Island from Friday 30 April to Monday 3 May.

We caught up at the Port of Arlie with Tanya and Louise (after some struggles to find a car park) to jump on the ferry. Once we got to Hamilton Island we zoomed around in our golf buggy to our town house with a view. We went for a bit of an island tour in the buggy before heading to an early Mexican dinner.

On Saturday we toured around the island and checked out the sights. Tanya and Grace checked in to do the Hamilton Run. We had a dip in the ocean and watched Tanya do a swim session across the bay. We tried to watch the sunset with a cocktail from the hill with loads of people and enjoyed the Asian fusion for dinner which was really yummy!

On Sunday we were up reasonably early to watch Tanya and Grace team up to do the Hamilton Run. Was great watching the runners and teams running up and down the mountains and hills coming back muddy. Louise and I had a great morning watching.

After the run we chilled out, went and did some window shopping and got snacks to make a sunset dinner on the hill. And enjoyed checking out all the people celebrating after the run.
